answer- This tradition is centuries old. In Ayurveda, it is connected to Panchamabhuta, in which the thumb (fire), index finger (air), middle (sky), anamika (earth) and small finger (water). When we eat by hand, these elements are activated, which balance the body’s energy.
At the same time, the brain gets a signal by touching the food scientifically, which is going to get food, which increases the production of saliva and digestive enzymes. This makes digestion easier and reduces problems like blotting.
